Natural Heartburn Relief

Just that mere thought of heartburn brings a lot of negative effect to a lot of people who are suffering from it for they are the ones who truly know how it feels to have heartburn. Heartburn causes a lot of pain and irritation to those who are affected by it. That is why their aim is to find what can cure heartburn.

Most of the time, you depended on over the counter medicines. But medicines are not always there and sometimes due to the chemicals that can be found in them can cause harmful side effects.

So it will be better if you know the natural heartburn relief. The following are some of the natural heartburn relief that are commonly followed by everyone:

• Know the foods that cause heartburn. There are certain foods that can trigger heartburn. Observe which among the food that you eat commonly bring burning sensation in your stomach. The usual foods that cause heartburn are fried and fatty foods, alcohol and coffee. So you better take these foods in moderation.

• Avoid eating large amount of food. Eat frequent smaller meals instead. If your stomach is full then there will be a pressure between your esophagus and stomach. Eating a smaller amount of food will help prevent the production of stomach acid.

• Don’t go to bed if your stomach is full. You must go to bed for at least 3 hours after you eat. This will allow your body to digest the food first. Let your body process the food inside your body before going to sleep.


• Chew gum. I know you are quite surprise reading this suggestion here but chewing a gum after a meal can also be a natural heartburn relief. It can do wonders on your body because as you chew your gum you are also increasing the generation of saliva. But you must remember that gums are only for chewing, you must not swallow it.

• Always keep a brown sugar in your kitchen because a teaspoon of it can help curing heartburn. You must try it to believe it.

• Take a rest after you eat. Even if you still have lots of things to do, spare at least 10 minutes to relax after meals.

• Drink plenty of water. It is important that you must drink at least 8 glasses a day because water helps in flushing out harmful toxins in your body.
