Gaviscon is the BEST!!

I have used Gaviscon for years. It works fantastic anytime, but mainly to take before bed, to help with acid reflux. It forms a foam cap at the top of your stomach, which helps to keep the acid from washing back up into your throat. Could not live lacking it!! Fantastic seller too. Shipped it quick!!

This is a fantastic product and MUCH better than taking TUMMS. It takes a bit to get used to the new taste (much different than Tumms), but it is better for you apparently. I'm not a doctor. This is a 5 star product and the price here is much better than CVS.
very pricey; liquid form cost less; other meds work better

I often use this antiacid, but I don't recommend it.
1. It is, by far, the most pricey key. Proton inhibitors work better, cost a small less, and all other antiacid types cost less.
2. Gaviscon's advantage is some form of coating that is believed to float on top of stomach acid, which make the antiacid last longer. And there's some merit to this. So, I tend to believe that for sleeping at night, this antiacid lasts longer than others. But, if one can use proton inhibitors, they work far better.
3. The tablet form is a bit sugary and is more costly than the liquid form. So, if you're using it prior to sleep, brushing teeth is unruly.
Essentially costs about 5 to 7 times the price of generic antiacids, so unless you know why you need this, I recommend hostile to it.

Can't get past the taste!

Whether or not Gaviscon works will be an nameless to me as I could not stomach the taste. It's nearly an indescribable taste, I infer kind of like a vanilla flavor but not a pleasant tasting vanilla. It also comes in cherry flavor but honestly I'm not willing to spend more money experimenting. I'll go back to Extra Might Tums! So does it work? I don't know! Does it taste terrible? Very! There are too many choices for Antacids out there to settle for this.
